The world most valuable brand GOOGLE and Maharishi Markandeshwar University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an aims to be the hub for innovation within the region and to focus on nurturing and building solutions with the best combination of products and technologies.
GOOGLE consistently has been at the forefront of device innovation over the last two decades. According to data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Android is the world's most popular mobile operating system and dominated the Smartphone market with a share of 86.8% in 2016. According to Statista, the number of available apps in the Google Play Store surpassed 2.4 million in September 2016.
A few months back, Google's Indian-origin CEO Mr. Sundar Pichai was in India where he had said: "As per the new plan of Google, we will train two million Android developers in partnership with 30 universities. This will be done over the time period of next three years. For me, getting many developers in the workforce is that it is going to solve many new things". On these lines, MMU craved opportunity.
In partnership with GOOGLE, MMU is going to setup the state of art Google Learning Centre of Excellence with leading edge facilities including Google Chrome-books. Android programming holds a promising future; MMU is hosting courses with specialization in Android programming for students as a part of their syllabus under Google expertise. This Centre of Excellence gives opportunity to our students to enhance their knowledge and skills at a professional level with certification for better employability.
