MMDU,Mullana has initiated the Pre Placement Activity known as “Placement Readiness Program 2020-2021” in presence of corporate from various industries and workgroups to share their expertise and thoughts. At this Covid-19 pandemic, this pursuit is motivating the students at MMDU to understand and analyze the different aspects of Industry (i.e. Upcoming Technologies, ways of self up skilling, etc) and are positioned to accept the reality in the current scenario.

Vice President – HR & Business Excellence
SOUMEN MAJUMDAR is Presently working as Vice President (Corporate HR & Business Excellence)with AEL- A Mahindra CIE group – Multinational Company with Head Office in Spain.
During his work- life of 38 years, he has worked as Head of HR with different reputed industrial houses like TATA, JK Tyre, Woolworth India and L&T in different part of the country.
He Started his career in 1984 as Technical Assistant with India’s most leading Institute named “Indian Statistical Institute- (ISI)” for central Government’s prestigious project of “Microwave linking” through which today’s Television Network is working.
He is also Board and Senate member of many Central and State Govt Institutes and Universities.
During his career he took active part in various Merger and acquisitions.
Recently he has been felicitated by Pune University for his outstanding contribution in Human Resource field.
Basically he is an Honours Graduate with Physics from Calcutta University in addition to Masters in Economics,
Masters in Business Administration, LL.B and Post Graduate Degree in Psychology from Calcutta University.
