The Three-Year full time regular course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The program also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skill standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.

In the three years, the course will make a student learn generic skills by being exposed to contemporary management theories applied to the context of hospitality industry-specific operations. Attention is given to tactical and strategic management in areas like event management, financial management, human resource management, revenue management and entrepreneurship. Some of the foremost objectives of the course are also to develop research skills, complete a 6 months internship in the industry that too twice during the tenure of the course which will be able to deepen the knowledge in the field of Hospitality Industry.

After the successful completion of the course students will demonstrate a broad knowledge of the different aspects of hospitality industry. The course will make a student Industry friendly and will enable him to get job opportunities the different areas of Hospitality such as Hotels, Motels, Airlines, Cruises, Restaurants, Cafes.

  • Display classic and contemporary cooking and baking techniques that represent a variety of global cuisines.
  • Practice and demonstrate skills and knowledge required of professional culinarians and apply them to commercial kitchen operations.

Curriculum

1st Semester

Covering topics in food preparation standards, meal production planning and food production technology,

The study of food & Beverages items & their service style students can familiar with all food service & customer handling.

All the concept of room reservation, customer handling & Personnel grooming

The subject build the knowledge of environmental aspect related to the industries

Full description of software in computer for reservation and other programme.

Study of all management concept & student can learn Management skill.

2nd Semester

Some topics such as culinary arts or food preparation, may be covered, Food preparation fundamentals, Safety and sanitation, quantity production

The study of the development of artificial foodstuffs. Includes the substitution of one type of food for another.

All the concept of room reservation, customer handling & Personnel grooming.

Students can improve communication & vocabulary and obtain effective speaking skill

Students will able to understand the tourism concept, types of tourism, development of tourism industry.

The study of the maintenance and promotion of health through the clean and sanitary handling of food.

3rd Semester

Student needs to undergo 6 months industrial exposure to gain practical skills

4th Semester

Full Knowledge of all culinary terms of food & their preparation

The study of food products and their preparation to attract consumers

This help to developed knowledge of all concept of room reservation, customer handling & Personnel grooming.

The study of all accounting fundamentals & their skill used in Hotel Reservation Handling

Students have to make a project report on a selected topic related to Hotel Industry & present.

5th Semester

Students can improve communication & vocabulary and obtain effective speaking skill

The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects from a recognized Board/ University.

Note:

  1. The Fee will have to be deposited at the time of Counselling.

  4. There will be an annual increase of 7% in tuition fee.
  5. Students Fund for all the students is Rs.2,000/- p.a.

  8. Students who wish to leave the Institute mid-stream, will have to deposit the fee for the remaining period of the course as per judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs State of Karnataka & PA lnamdar case.
