The basic motive of this one and half year diploma course is to prepare students for the working in the Catering and Hospitality Industry. It includes theory and practical components covering food preparation, Cooking Principles and Practices, Food Safety and Hygiene. In one year the students are trained theoretically in the areas of food production and the last six months will be utilized as Industrial Training where the students will get an opportunity to work in real time environment and situations in the hotel which will enhance the practical skills of the students.
The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination with atleast five subjects including English as a compulsory subject from any recognized Board/ University
