M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) is a two-year programme designed to meet the specific needs of the ever-expanding pharmaceutical industry, research organisations, and academic institutions, with a focus on formulation development, drug manufacturing technology,and pharmaceutics process development areas, all of which are critical fields for manufacturing drug delivery systems.

Curriculum

1st Semester

This subject deals with various advanced analytical instrumental techniques for identification, characterization and quantification of drugs. Instruments dealt are NMR, Mass spectrometer, IR, HPLC, GC etc.

This course is designed to impart knowledge on the area of advances in novel drug delivery systems.

Course designed to impart advanced knowledge and skills required to learn various aspects and concepts at pharmaceutical industries.

Course designed to impart advanced knowledge and skills required to learn the concept of generic drug and their development, various regulatory filings in different countries, different phases of clinical trials an submitting regulatory documents filing process of IND, NDA and ANDA.

2nd Semester

This course is designed to impart knowledge on the area of advances in novel drug delivery systems.

This course is designed to impart knowledge of the principles of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics.

This course is designed to impart knowledge and skills necessary for computer applications in pharmaceutical research and development System.

This course is designed to impart knowledge and skills necessary for the fundamental need for cosmetic and cosmeceutical products.

3rd & 4th Project work

To allow the students to develop experimental skills in the core area of preclinical, clinical formulation development, phytochemical studies, analytical techniques , and quality audit of the product.

Eligibility Criteria

Duration: 2 yrs.

The candidate should have passed Bachelor in Pharmacy with a minimum of least 55% marks (50% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination

Note:

  1. The Fee will have to be deposited at the time of Counselling.
  2. University Charges will be extra as per University norms.
  3. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
  4. There will be an annual increase of 7% in tuition fees.
  5. Students Fund for all the students is Rs.2,000/- p.a.
  6. Lifetime Alumni Membership fee is Rs. 4,000/-.
  7. Hostel & Transport Charges will be extra.
  8. Students who wish to leave the Institute mid-stream, will have to deposit the fee for the remaining period of the course as per judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs State of Karnataka & PA lnamdar case.
