Students will be able to know about the different growth parameters of crop in different ecological zones of India.
The students will learn about soil fertility and productivity and their management. Manures and their preparation.
To study the nature, propagation and survival of different weed under natural environmental conditions.
To teach the principles of water management and practices to enhance the water productivity.
The students will know about Origin and history of crops and varieties of crops and their cultivation requirements.
The students will learn about different tests associated with statistical analysis and how to use them in analysing research.
To study about adaptation, distribution, varietal improvement, agro-techniques and quality aspects
The student will be able to explain the major aspects of cropping systems and farming systems.
Develop an understanding of the historical, biological and ecological basis for Organic farming including crop and livestock management.
The subject helps the students to get basic know how of remote sensing & GIS & technique along with soil identification & other parameters.
To impart knowledge of fertilizers and manures as sources of plant nutrients and apprise about the integrated approach of plant nutrition
To aware and spread knowledge about facts responsible to pollute environment and factors being the cause of disasters on earth
Build confidence and knowledge about research among students
Thesis will be submitted by students
Duration: 2 yrs.
The candidate should have passed B. Sc. Agriculture from a recognized university with 60% or equivalent marks (50% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates).
