The Department of Physics offers B.Sc. Physics (Hons.), M.Sc. Physics and Ph.D. Physics degree. In addition to this Department also caters to the B.Tech, B.Sc. (Non-Medical) and various paramedical programs.
After Completing B.Sc. Physics (Hons.) or M.Sc. Physics, students get ample career opportunities both in public as well as private sector enterprises. They can apply for all government jobs that require graduation as the Basic Qualification. There are lucrative work and growth opportunities in governmental organizations like DRDO, VSSC, ISRO, SSPL, etc. after completing B.Sc. Physics (Hons.). Our students get handpicked by top companies in Education, Research, IT Sector, Laboratories and Institutes, Power-generation, Civil Aviation, Construction, Pyrotechnics Manufacturing, and Defence Services.
Some of our students are pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics. They are eligible to work as Assistant professor in Higher Educational institutes.
There are extensive opportunities abroad for B.Sc. Physics (Hons.) or M.Sc. Physics students to work in Manufacturing, Electronics, IT-based companies. Students can apply for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Higher Education in Physics helps the candidate to get into high Designated Jobs. If a student would like to pursue higher education after B.Sc. Physics(Hons.), then he/she can opt following Master courses in Physics including Applied Physics, Biophysics, Chemical Thermodynamics, Nuclear Physics, Kinematics, Physics, and Thin Films. Students can also apply for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
No, currently we do not offer any one-year diploma or certificate courses.
The personality development classes for the students are taken by the experts. We have a Physics society in the Department which organizes various academic, cultural, and sports events to enhance the students’ skills.
Most of M.Sc. and B.Sc. students usually get placed in Teaching Jobs in the Government sector, and in the reputed private institutes. In addition to this, our students are also eligible as analysts and executives in top companies like Infosys, L& T, Wipro, British Telecom, BhilwaraTechnologies Ltd, etc.
Since most of the students get employment in the education sector as a Teacher their approximate initial package is INR 4-6 lakh per annum.
Department of Physics provides a platform to brilliant and innovation-minded students to attend and participate in the research activities i.e. conferences, Seminars, Quizzes in the institute, and outside the institute.
Yes, we organize workshops and training sessions for students.
Extracurricular activities like Quiz’s competitions, cultural activities, sports events are organized by the Department of Physics from time to time.
After getting admission to the MMDU’s Course, Login ID and password are provided to get access to the University Portal and within a week he/she gets the University ID card which provides the membership of MMDU’s Main Library.
