In order to celebrate Cyber Security Awareness Month, MMICTBM (MCA) organized a one day Webinar on Understanding Cyber Security on 29.10.2021 for the Faculty, Research Scholars and Students. The first resource person Dr. Om Pal, Scientist-D, Research & Development, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, GoI delivered a lecture on Quantum Computing and Quantum Cryptography in which he focused on analyzing characteristics of the quantum cryptography and exploring advantages of it. Also he discussed the results reflect the unconditional security of quantum cryptography theoretically that is suitable for the Internet as ever-increasing challenges are inevitable in the future. The other speaker Mr. Dipanshu Parashar, CEO, Virtual Cyber Labs, New Delhi delivered his lecture on Dive into Open Source Intelligence in which he discussed security, creating sensitivity to the threats and vulnerabilities of computer systems and recognition of the need to protect data, information and systems. He also highlighted the issues and the challenges that everyone is facing and how important it is to protect their data privacy on the Internet, especially as technology is constantly evolving. Both the speakers discussed how to choose a career and scope in cyber security. 38 faculty members, 4 Research Scholars and 45 students from different institutions attended the webinar.
