The FDP aims at deliberation, sharing knowledge to the target audience about the significance of research skills and current opportunities in Law by subject matter experts with practical exposure to faculty members and research scholars of all the branches and allied areas. The aim of the FDP is to provide the participants with an opportunity to acquire knowledge about contemporary developments that are taking place in various dimensions of Law and inculcate and enhance the abilities of the faculty members to carry out independent research, write successful research projects, and finally to enable them for the technical communication considering national/international journal/conferences. Lectures on fundamental aspect of relevant research topic selection, literature review, planning of research, project proposal writing and research paper writing will be conducted by the experts along with some hands-on practices which will enable participants to grasp the content methodologically. Finally, the whole exercise will enhance the multilateral thinking approach & will impart capability to look into Legal affairs with multi-directional approach followed by research and development work.

Prof. Nishtha Jaswal, Vice Chancellor, HP National Law University
Professor Nishtha Jaswal, the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla has a wide range of administrative, teaching and research experience. A gold medallist and academician. She specializes in constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights and Environmental Law and has over sixty-five related research papers and six books to her credit. She is an awardee of British Academy Visiting Professorship in 1992. Her book titled Environmental Law has been cited thrice by the Supreme Court of India in the landmark judgement reported as In Re: Noise Pollution (V), 2005 5 SCC 733.
Prof. Naresh Kumar Vats, Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala.
Prof. Naresh Kumar Vats, Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has also worked as Head of Department of Law; Founder Chairman CPGLS; Head-Center of IPR; and Proctor. Prof. Vats is awarded with a Letter of Acknowledgement by the Director, Dept. of Environment, Chittagong, Bangladesh for Green Campaign Initiative in 2012. An awardee of Samman Padak 2014, Professor Vats is the editor of various books and law journals. He has also acted as Co-organizing Secretary of National Seminar and campus of Rural Lok Adalat and Legal Aid Clinic, Coordinator of WIPO-India Summer School 2017 between WIPO-Geneva, RGNIIPM, Nagpur and MNLU, Nagpur.
Prof. C.P. Singh, Former Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Kurukshetra University
Prof. C. P. Singh is a gold medallist in MA Social work. He held the positions of Chairman, Dept. of Sociology and Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, KUK. He has four books, one field work manual and seventeen Research Papers to his credit. He has been the project officer, Urban Basis Services Programme sponsored by UNICEF. Prof. Singh has served as expert in panels of various central and state bodies.
Prof. Rattan Singh, Professor and Former Director, UILS, Panjab University, Chandigarh
Prof. Rattan Singh has 28 year experience in academics and administration. He is a Gold Medallist in LL.M. He has five books to his credit and two research projects under UGC-Right to Education: Some Pitfalls and Policies of Govt-A Study with Special Reference to State ofPunjab, and Subordinate Judiciary in India under Stress and Strain. He has guided more than 100LL.M, and 8. Ph.D, candidates. Prof. Singh is also contributing as expert in various state public service commissions and universities.
Dr. Deepak Chauhan, Head, Centre for Law, Central Law University, Punjab
Dr. Deepak Chauhan is an awardee of ‘Young Scientist Award’ in 2011 by the Society for Environment and Development (India), PCRA, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India for research excellence on “Sustainability of Fresh Water Resources: Legal and Institutional Mechanism in India”. Currently he is working as Head, Centre for Law, School of Legal Studies and Governance Central University of Punjab. He has a number of research publications to his credit. He isWorking on a Research Project funded by UGC entitled “Impact of Laws and Policies to prevent and regulate Pollution form Agriculture Residue Burning: A study of Bathinda District in Punjab” and also working on a Research Project funded by Central University of Punjab, Bathinda entitled “Impact of Laws and Policies to prevent and regulate Pollution form Paddy Residue Burning: A study of sub division Talwandi Sabo of District Bathinda in the state of Punjab”.
