North India’s leading private university MMDU pays tribute to its Founder Sh. Tarsem Kumar Garg who established the Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust (now rechristened as Maharishi Markandeshwar Trust) on his birthday September 11, 2019. Sh. Tarsem Garg is well-reckoned in academic circle as a visionary education-minded opinion leader who has played the key role in building and nurturing not just Maharishi Markandeshwar Trust but many academic organizations falling under this trust that include MMDU,Mullana ,MMU,Sadopur,MMU Solan,M.M Continental Hotel and MM International Schools in Karnal, Mullana and Sadopur
Since Sh. Garg also hailed from a humble background, he empathized with the challenges faced by students of rural India and thus his core focus was to develop education infrastructure in lesser-developed areas. It was his idea to set up world-class schools and colleges in rural parts of North India so that students hailing from villages can get quality professional education nearer to their homes. His efforts have borne fruit; MMDU has become a name to reckon with in just a span of two decades. Many professional institutions falling under MM Trust have won accolades and recognitions at global level and MMDU students are now placed in top MNCs with lucrative packages as high as Rs 21 LPA. These institutions have broadened the horizons of millions of youth and enriched them with their culture of excellence, social service and inclusiveness.
It is worth mentioning that Sh. Garg is an honourary doctorate from Central America and aspires to strengthen M.M Trust so that it addresses the education needs of students not only from India but from other countries as well.
MMDU celebrated the birthday of Sh. Tarsem Kumar Garg organizing numerous cultural activities and hailed his role as a visionary academician of India.
