Theme: Dent Fest – 2021 (Intra-institute Talent Hunt)

Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Dental Sciences & Research is organizing a Intra Institute Talent Hunt under the name DENT FEST – 2021 on 20th February 2021. After almost a year, post COVID 19 pandemic for the first time the Dental college is organizing an offline Cultural event. The event is been conducted to find the new talent of the budding dentists. The event will be conducted in at different venues at different timings so as to make it convenient for all the participants. The event shall be coordinated by Institute Student Welfare Council, MMCDSR, under the guidance of Department of Student Welfare.

| 1. | Music | Lecture Hall 02 (2nd floor) | 10-10:30am | Contestants have to choose any song from the genre they have decided. Contestants should preferably perform on Karaoke or Guitars, however, performance with Karaoke / Guitars also shall be permitted. |
| 2. | Dance | Lecture Hall (2nd floor) | 10-11am | Contestants have to perform according to the genre selected. Contestants should preferably dress up according to the genre selected; however they shall not be disqualified on the basis of costume. |
| 3. | Theatre | Lecture Hall (2nd floor) | 11-12pm | The students have to make their own act within the time limit and present. Use of prop is allowed. |
| 4. | Literary speaking | Seminar room (Oral Pathology) | 10-10:30am | Topic for Elocution shall be given 24 Hours in Advance by the respective Institutes. Paper reading is not advisable, however, can be used for taking hints. No contestant shall be disqualified for taking hints from paper. |
| 5. | Literary writing | Dental Anatomy Lab (Oral Pathology) | 9:30-10:30am | Topic for Poetry Writing and Essay writing shall be given on the spot. Use of Phone and books are not allowed. Maximum number of words for Essay writing is 400 and for poetry writing is 150 respectively. |
| 6. | Fine arts | Reception area (Dental College) | 10-12pm | Theme shall be given on the spot by the respective Institutes. Students are required to arrange their own materials for the purpose. |
| 7. | Quiz | Lecture Hall 01 (2nd floor) | 12-1pm | It shall be a written test having 25 General Knowledge Questions which are to be attempted within 30 minutes. |
| 8. | Photography | Seminar room (Oral Pathology) | 12-1pm | Contestants can click on any digital platform such as DLSR, Mobile Phones, etc, having resolution> 8MP. Editing and use of any aided software shall lead to disqualification. Atheme shall be allotted based on which the photos are to be clicked. |
