MM(DU)’s faculty makes it to Top 2% list of Scientists of Stanford University, California

Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University) once again adds another global laurel to its list of achievements; this time the university’s faculty has done the whole nation proud. Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Professor and Head of Department of Biotechnology and Professor Rakesh Chandmal Sharma of Mechanical Engineering have gained global recognition in the field of research on being enlisted in the top 2% scientists in the world in the list of Stanford University, California. They are pursuing their research in the area of Bioscience/Bioengineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively.

Getting featured in any list of Stanford University is a big deal; these two have been put in the top 2% category which makes this achievement truly stupendous. As per the list released by Stanford University, California, USA that represents the top 2 per cent of the most-cited scientists globally in various disciplines on the basis of standardized citation indications including information on the number of citations, H -Index, co-authorship and a composite indicator.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma previously has also worked as a postdoctoral scientist at University of Illinois at Chicago, USA and is currently having 152 publications comprising of more than 3310 citations with an H-index of 28.0 while i10 index of his publications is 47.0. Similarly, Dr. Rakesh C. Sharma was awarded Ph.D. by the coveted academic institution, Indian Institute of Technology at Roorkee.
