M. M. Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation organised an alumni talk on 26th August 2022. The subject of alumni talk was “Scope of Physiotherapy”. The aim of the talk is to acknowledge students about the scope of physiotherapy in the recent times. She also told students about the different career option in the physiotherapy practice. The webinar was conducted in online mode through the Google meet platform in BPT Lecture Theater Hall from 2:00PM onwards.
Dr. Sakshi Vats and Dr. Mansi Jain addressed the students and introduced them to our guest. The key speaker of the event was Dr. Akriti Kumari who is currently working as a Consultant Physiotherapist, Indian Red Cross Bhawan, Sadar Hospital Campus, Samastipur, Bihar. She was alumni of MMIPR BPT batch (2014-2019). She spoke to the students regarding scope of physiotherapy now a days, expectations of their domain expertise, the skills to be required to achieve their respective goals. In her talk she enlightened the students about how physiotherapy becoming advanced in clinical scenario. She also shared her experience with the students about the university. She interacted with the students and gave motivational talk regarding preparing for higher studies and placements. Almost 80 students attended the webinar there.
Outcome:
The webinar was inspiring and enjoyable simultaneously profitable for the students.
Our alumni Dr. Akriti Kumari also guided us how to become a good physiotherapist and she also shared her experience learning which made things simplified for the students.
