M. M. Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation organized a physiotherapy camp on the
theme “Assessment, Examination and Treatment of Osteoarthritis” on World Physiotherapy Day
on 8 th September, 2022 in Sohana village, Ambala- Haryana. The aim of the camp was to create
awareness about physiotherapy treatment of osteoarthritis among rural population. Patients were
assessed and examined for osteoarthritis and basic physiotherapy treatment was prescribed
according to the need. Some patients were also advised to visit hospital for further diagnosis and
proper treatment plan.
Dr. Sunita Sharma (PT) coordinated the event and maintained the discipline. All students were
motivated and took part with great enthusiasm. The role of physiotherapy and awareness about physiotherapy in osteoarthritis was also addressed.
Outcome:
The patients were satisfied with the treatment session and were delighted to continue their further physiotherapy treatment.
