Medium of Instruction is English for all the courses.

Merit based scholarships (upto 50%) are offered as per MM(DU) policy and continuation of scholarship will be is as per the terms and conditions i.e. regularity in attendance, academic result and good conduct.

MM(DU) offers courses (at Diploma, UG, PG and Doctoral level) across the entire spectrum of skill sets in the areas of Bio Technology, Business Management, Computer Applications, Engineering & Technology, Hotel Management, Law, Commerce, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Paramedical, Physiotherapy and Nursing.

Foreign nationals and NRI/PIO/OCI can apply under the international student admission category.

No. There is no entrance examination for foreign candidates, except for the courses in Medicine, Dentistry and Ph D. Admissions is based on merit as per the grades/marks obtained in qualifying examination, provided the student meets the eligibility requirements.

  • Applicants are required to submit the filled in Admission Form along with the required documents. After ascertaining the eligibility, the Provisional Admission Letter will be sent to you by e mail.
  • After receiving the Provisional Admission Letter, to confirm your Admission and Scholarship offered, you will be required to transfer the part of fee as mentioned (minimum deposit before Visa), through any bank to MMDU. Bank account details will be mentioned on the Provisional Admission Letter. This fee will be part of first year tuition fee.
  • Immediately after the bank transfer of fee, email the Wire Transfer/SWIFT Transfer receipt, for early tracking and crediting the money in your name.
  • After receiving the money in MMDU account and signed Undertakings, Letter for Visa or Final Admission Letter will be issued and emailed to you.

Each programme will have its own eligibility criteria and are available on MM(DU) website.

Other than the annual tuition fee, students will be required to pay hostel&mess fees and a non-refundable one-time registration fees.

No. A foreign student (citizen) can study at MM(DU) only with a student visa. If the foreign citizen is of Indian origin, then such a candidate can apply and get a PIO (People of Indian Origin) Card or and OCI (Dual Citizenship). Candidates with PIO or OCI can study in India without a student visa.

You can apply for Student Visa at the nearest Indian High Commission/ Indian Embassy with Letter for Visa issued by MM(DU) (confirmed admission letter) and other required documents.

Students should arrive 2-3 days prior to the commencement of classes. You will be informed of the exact date of the commencement of classes.

Nearest airport is Chandigarh and please book air tickets to either Chandigarh airport or New Delhi international airport.

Yes, there is pickup facility from Chandigarh and New Delhi airport, on chargeable basis. Student needs to share the confirmed air tickets, atleast one week before the travel date with the Department of International Affairs.

It is a mandatory for all International students (except those from Nepal and Bhutan) to get their Student Visa registered at FRRO/FRO within 14 days of arrival in India. Department of International Affairs at MM(DU) will guide and assist you with all the required processes.

The following documents in original are to be submitted at the time of admission:
  • Pass Certificates/Degrees and Transcripts of Qualifying Examination (Grade 10/12/UG)
  • National Identity Card and copy of Passport
  • Notarized translated and attested copies of all educational documents in English, if the educational documents of qualifying examination are not in English.
  • 15 passport size photographs

Yes, you can open your bank account with any of the banks functional in campus after confirmation of your admission and you can also use the ATM facility on various points with in the Campus and almost all of them accept the VISA, MasterCard and Maestro powered cards.

Yes. International Hostel facility is available on campus.

Continental (Non-vegetarian) meal is served in the mess of International hostel.

Indian Rupee (INR) is the currency being used in India. Student can bring the amount in USD or Euro or Sterling Pounds and the same can be exchanged at the Airport.

Many shopping centres are there in the campus and you can purchase most of the daily need items in the campus itself.

Excellent health care facilities are available on campus in the M M Super Speciality Hospital.

May and June are the summer months with maximum temperature reaches upto 420C and November to February are winter months with minimum temperature falls upto 5 to 7 0C. July and August is the rainy season.

  • Apart from regular summer wears suitable for tropical climatic conditions, students are advised to carry warm clothing (Woollen pullovers and jackets for winters).
  • A few formal wears, you would be wearing on the special occasions (like presentation, seminars etc).
  • Quilts, two bed sheets, pillow with covers (or can be purchased in India as well).
  • The electric standard in India works on 240 V. So, ensure that you have an adapter for your mobile or laptop if it operates on a different voltage in your country. Also the electric sockets are 2 or 3 pin so ensure that you carry a converter in case required.
