Clubs and Activities

MMDU is one of the best universities in north India and is home to some of the best management, law and engineering colleges as well. The fact that it has the most diversified courses and state-of-the-art campus puts it on a different pedestal altogether. Combine that with a faculty that is superlatively skilled and experienced in the field of practical training and education and an active placement cell, you get MMDU, a world-class CAMPUS where thousands of ambitions are realized every day.

What make MMDU campus unique are its other special features and offerings including T-Series Stage Works Centre of Excellence to Bosch Centre of Excellence, a Swimming Pool to Yuvraj Singh Cricket Academy, a Photography Club to Literary Club, an Eco Club to a Theatre Club, etc. you ask and we have for you at MMDU.

Clubs @ MMDU

MMDU Clubs give the students achance to explore their potential and grow amid this excellent learning environment which keeps on shaping up with global trends and industry needs. This helps the students to evolve as an innovative workforce that is creative to the core and readily employable.

Expressions: The Literary Club

The Literary Club is meant to polish the language and creative expression skills of students, thereby helping them to be a part of ever-growing corporate culture of India.

The following events are conducted by this Club for enhancing the Speaking, Writing, Listening, Reading Skills and Vocabulary of the students:

Eco Club- The Environmental Club

  • The idea behind creation of an environmental club is to sensitize the students about eco-friendly activities and encourage them to work with ecology-economy balance in mind.
  • The club meets between two to four times per month

MMDU NE Clava

The Students from the 8 North Eastern States of India, with an objective of celebrating their regional culture at MMDU have established the MMDU NE Clava: A Student Organization. The organization currently has over 70 from all the 8 states of North East.

Drishti: The In House Media

 “Drishti” is the In-House Media of Department of Student Welfare MMDU having its team of photographers & videographers, script writers, content developers & graphic designer. Currently they are dedicated to cover various happenings inside the campus.

Srijan: The Creative Arts Society

Srijan: The Fine Arts Society, with its team of artists specializing in painting, sketching, crafting, designing, installation arts etc has been working as the ideators and creators of decor for all high stature events inside the campus.

Student Moot Court Society

Objective of the Society:
  • To develop the academic and advocacy excellence among students of the department.
  • Inculcating the spirit of leadership and teamwork, leading to academic and professional excellence.
Functioning of SMCS
  • The SMCS shall be responsible for organising and supervising all the National, regional as well as Intra University Moot Courts/ Client counselling and other related activities.
  • Detailed set of rules and regulations for each such event shall be determined by the SMCS during academic year.
  • The SMCS may constitute further sub-committees comprising of volunteers for organising such events.
  • The SMCS shall be responsible for supervising the participation of students representing the University in various National as well as regional Moot Courts/ Client counselling along with other related activities.
  • Detailed rules and regulations regarding the selection for, and representation of students in, competitions in an academic year shall be determined by the RMCC, with approval of faculty in charge.
  • The SMCS shall notify all the students of such competitions.
  • The SMCS may conduct Intra Moot Court competition for selecting the students to represent the University in such competitions.
  • The SMCS shall discharge all related functions related to Moot Court activities not covered above.

Some of the recent events and activities conducted by SMCS are Moot Court Competitions, National Client Counselling Competition, National Level Judgment Writing Competitions, etc.

CodeX

This Club, CodeX strives to enhance the technical skills as well as problem solving skills of students so that students are trained to begin their work journey successfully and confidently. CodeX has been an initiative of the Department of Computer Science which wanted a technical club to engage the students in various technical activities and improve their coding skills.

Student Nurses Association

The Student Nurses Association, popularly known as SNA, is a nation-wide organization of nursing students. The SNA Unit organizes various events like Salad making competition, poster making competition, Rangoli competition and many more events as well as sports activities. Technocrats Club: Inspiring Innovation and Discovery

MMICT&BM (MCA) has formed this club ‘Technocrats with the mission of Inspiring Innovation and Discovery. The vision behind this club is to expose students to challenges and new technology in the field of computers and thus to nurture and develop their skill sets in this arena.

Technocrats Club is like a launchpad to promote high quality technocrats with proficiency in technical skills, creative activities and innovation.

Anticipated Student Organization/Club activities:

Motivational talks for students as well as for faculty members.

Organizing technical Fest.

Celebration of Digital India by making e- poster.

Conducting various technical workshops on Android, PHP

Social Welfare Activities.

MMIM: SAC

SAC (Student Activity Council) of Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Management, Mullana has been formed to bring out the innate talent of the students. The club is giving the students to take active part in extra-curricular activities such as Cross Fit Competition, Debate Competition , Rangoli Art, Poster making Competition, Best out of Waste Competition and many other social activities.

(The society of Civil Engineering Students)

For the all round development of the students, Skyscrapers gives the students a chance to be a part of diverse activities range from sports, personal-hobbies to technical interests. The students are encouraged to become the member of such professional bodies to strengthen their skills and broaden their horizons.

Events and Fests

“Respecting Diversity, Celebrating multi-culture”

The Events & Fests of the MMDU are the talk of the town and the country as well. MMDU has been organizing well planned cultural/co-curricular activities inside and outside university campus and promotes students to participate in in-campus and off-campus cultural activities.

Cultural Facilities
