The work is about the diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and its current perspectives and future directions in the treatment of this diseases. This condition is late complication of diabetes which occur in 50-60 percent of diabetic patients. As such no concrete treatment strategy is available for DPN. In our review, we have proposed a  receptor based strategy for the treatment of DPN.
