The regular placement calendar will start from July till March, every year at MMDU, Mullana.
The students are required to fill in the form to register themselves to be a part of the Placements Drive and placement activity sessions during April-June every year. But for the students who are at the beginning of their 7th Semester, only the registered students will get notified on the campus placements and placement training.
In the Pre-placement Talk, the company delegates deliver a wide vision about the organization and its requirement pertaining to the Job Profile, Location, Cost To Company (CTC), etc., which gives ample scope to the students to decide, as per their career choice, whether they would like to opt for the company or not.
The companies visiting MMDU follow the different modes of the selection process to select the right manpower as per their requirement. Following are some of the criteria for the selection processes:
1. Company Pre-Placement Talk
2. Written Test / Online Test [Aptitude/ Subjective/ Domain related question]
3. Personal Interview [Domain & HR based]
We have product-based companies visiting at the beginning of the placement season known as Day 0. The CTC starts from INR 5 LPA. In the next phase, service-based companies who hire in bulk, CTC generally starts from INR 3.5 LPA.
Yes, MMDU offers three kinds of Internship Programs to our students –
9 Months of Internship Program, Starting from the month of October to July.
6 Months of Internship Program, Starting from the Month of January to June.
2 Months of Internship Program (Summer Internship), Starting from June to July.
Yes, it is mandatory for all the students who have enrolled for the placements to undergo the Placement training program. Placement Training contains Aptitude, Softskills, and technical training.
The placement team facilitates the students throughout the year with different activities. The students are exposed to experts from the industry who enlighten them and polish their skills according to the industry. The students are provided with company-specific workshops and online aptitude tests to sharpen their logical and analytical skills before the placement processes. Mock GD and PI sessions are also held for the students to facilitate them in the preparation for the final interviews
Yes, one must have a good Scoring through their academics stating from Matriculation to Graduation to get into the final placement process. There are few companies that would be hiring even without eligibility criteria.
No, there is no fee charged from the students for the placements.
The information that students typically look for in the corporate presentations is:
1. Profile of the company
2. Profile of the career role (projects in case of summer internships) and responsibilities
3. Locations where the student is likely to be posted
4. Compensation / Stipend
Students can be recruited for:
1. 9 months of internship program starting in October.
2. 6 months of internship program starting in January.
3. 2 months full-time summer internship
4. Entry-level full-time roles.
The typical steps in the placement process would be
1. Communication of interest in the placement program to your relationship manager
2. Finalizing a placement slot
3. Submission of CVs/Applications by students
4. Shortlisting of students
5. Testing processes (tests/group discussions) and Interviews
6. Selection list
The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art physical, communication, and computing infrastructure to facilitate a smooth placement process. Computing facilities, projection facilities for multimedia presentations; telecommunication facilities for teleconferencing and video-conferencing; seminar rooms, and presentation halls for presentations/workshops can be arranged for your specific need by writing to your relationship manager with the details.
Taking students off-campus for the placement process is not a normal practice. However, the same may be considered on a case-to-case basis. Please consult your relationship manager for working out the details.
In cases you are unable to come down to the campus, placement processes can be conducted through teleconferencing or videoconferencing.
Product companies with the CTC Starting from 5 LPA will be given the Day 0 slots, followed by the set of service companies that hire in bulk.
No fee is charged for taking part in the placement drive.
