This paper deals with the optimization of the process parameters of abrasive water jet machining for circular cutting in marble. The influence of three process parameters i.e. water pressure, abrasive flow rate, standoff distance on material removal rate, surface roughness, top kerf width and kerf taper angle are investigated. Orthogonal array (L16) is utilized for experimentations and analysis of variance (ANOVA) distinguish significant and non significant parameters. Material removal rate and surface finish increases with increase in water pressure and abrasive flow rate. Water pressure and standoff distance significantly affect the top kerf width and kerf taper angle. Grey relational and entropy measurement method was adopted for multi-quality characteristics optimization. The percentage error between the predicted values and experimental values at optimal setting varies from – 7.66% to 6.60% represent excellent results reproducibility.
