In this paper, an agent assisted method is provided to identify the selfish nodes. In this research work, the ABC (Artificial Bee Colony) is applied to distribute the agent over the network. In this work M onlooker bee agents are generated to observe the region node. Each bee agent has analyzed the coverage nodes using employee bee based on communication parameters. In this stage, packet loss, communication delay, frequency and load parameters are analyzed to observe the nodes and to identify the attacker node. The fuzzy rules are applied on these parameters to separate the selfish and normal nodes. In the final stage, the preventive route is generated over the selfish node. The proposed preventive route generation method is integrated to the existing AODV protocol. The simulation of the proposed protocol is done in NS2 environment. The comparative evaluation is done in terms of packet communication, packet loss, delay and throughput parameters. The comparative analysis has identified that the proposed protocol has improved the communication reliability and performance.
