Abstract: This paper conducts an enquiry into performance analysis of three phase wound rotor induction motor. Along with analysis of motor, virtual environment using MATLAB/Simulink is also used to boost computer aided teaching. The bridge between virtual environment and real time is hence studied by measuring error between simulation and experimental results. Analysis of induction motor is performed using DC test, No-Load test, and Blocked-Rotor test respectively both experimentally and with the simulation. Further rotor side speed control of wound rotor induction motor is performed using MATLAB/Simulink.
