Out of the 25 samples, the most commonly isolated organism was Enterococcus followed by Klebsiella species. These micro-organisms were found to be resistant to commonly used antibiotics such as Streptomycin, Vancomycin, Linezolid, Nitrofurantoin, Tetracycline and Tobramycin. Early identification and diagnosis can play a key role in reducing morbidity and mortality in maternal sepsis.
