The aim of this trial was to determine the effects of Preoperative physiotherapy education (POPE) and Postoperative physiotherapy (POP) maintaining pulmonary function and functional capacity in children undergoing open abdominal surgery. POPE might have positive effects in preserving pulmonary function and functional capacity.
