The presents study revealed the phytodiversity of Subhartipuram, Meerut, UP, India, along with family, scientific and vernacular names, habits, occurrence and their Pharmacological significance. This is the noble initiation and investigation conducted at the University level reflecting the present scenario of phytodiversity at work station so far. Total 64 plants species of 53 genera from 34 families have been recorded from the selected area during investigation (2016-2017). Among all 34 families; sum of 11 families (Moraceae, Myrtaceae, Fabaceae, Sapotaceae, Arecaceae, Meliaceae, Rutaceae, Apocynaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Simaraubaceae and Legumioaceae) were found to be most diversified in terms of species richness and abundance. The phytodensity and species richness of Annonaceae, Fabaceae, Salicaceae, Proteaceae, Myrtaceae and Verbinaceae were comparatively more abundant. Most of the plant species of recorded genus are used by society for medicinal and pharmacological significance in treatment of many diseases like bronchitis, cough, heart problem, anaemia, local oedema, obesity, gastric irritability, helminthiasis, neural depression, liver discomforts, fever, cancer, and other diseases in ayurveda and unanipathy. The authors thus supposed to proposed that the systematic knowledge of phytodiversity could play key role in planning for conservation and sustainable applications of available natural resources.
