Abstract: This paper deals with two stage flow shop scheduling problem where processing time, setup time are associated with their respective probabilities and the jobs are processed in two distinct job blocks in a string .Also weightage is given to jobs to indicate their relative importance. The objective of the study is to get an optimal sequence of jobs in order to minimize the total production time of the machines through iterative algorithm. The algorithm is made clear by numerical example.
