A Blood Donation Camp was organized by MMIPR in association with NSS Unit, Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to Be University), Mullana – Ambala, Haryana on the occasion of Founders` Day on 11th September, 2021 at Blood Bank of MM Hospital. The camp began at 10:00 A.M with a short inaugural function by Chief Guest, Honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor Harish Kumar Sharma, Registrar Sumit Mittal, Brigadier Dr. R.K Garg (CEO MMIMSR) and Dr. Vijay Nijhawan (H.O.D Pathology Department MMIMSR) expressed gratitude to the NSS unit and MMIPR for its continuous endeavor in this regard.
Dr. Kusum Thakur Senior Consultant Transfusion Medicine MMIMSR encouraged all the donors by saying “Gift of Blood is God of Life”. She thanked all the donors for the Noble steps they have taken and to help the fellow brethren. She stressed on the growing need of blood in the state and commended the young volunteers for their noble act. Pro Vice Chancellor addressed the gathering, Blood cannot be manufactured – it only comes from generous donors to save the society and mankind, we should come forward forth is Noble cause. 40 units of blood was donated by both students and the staff members of MM Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. It was a way of gesture by MM Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in bringing a ray of hope to alleviate the serious problems of acute shortage of blood.
