An informative and thought-provoking program on the topic “A Look at the Constitutional and Legal Rights of Women in India” was organized by joint efforts of GSCASH and the Department of Law. The first speaker of the day was Prof. PS Jaswal, a renowned name in the legal fraternity and author of 22 books. Prof. Jaswal emphasized that in addition to existing legal provisions for the protection of fair gender, the need is to accept and recognize women as an equal counterpart in the families.
