Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated annually on 2nd October to commemorate the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. This year Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (MMIPR) embraced this day in the remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi and his ideologies. The United Nations General Assembly observe “International Day of Nonviolence” to rededicate people towards the promotion of a harmonious lifestyle, exemplifying oneness, sharing and mutuality. On October 1st, the event commenced with the speech by Prof (Dr.) Aksh Chahal followed by singing performance by thestudents. On 4th October, a film screening of Attenborough’s ‘Gandhi’ was organized in the lecture hall 2, MMIPR. All the students and faculty participated with enthusiasm and gave a great contribution in making this event successful.
