One Day Seminar on Techno-Commercial Viability of Innovative Ideas with Government Landscape

MM Institute of Computer Technology and Business Management and Technology Business Incubator (TBI) jointly organized One Day Seminar on “Techno-Commercial Viability of Innovative Ideas with Government Landscape” on 06-05-2022 from 10:30 am onwards. The event marked presence of 161 students and 16 faculty members from multi-disciplinary courses like Biotechnology, Agriculture, Computer Science and Engineering, Physiotherapy, Dental, Business Management and Computer Applications to name a few. Eminent resource persons leveraging their own Start ups in domain of business consultancy, process transformation, product development and research projects shared their experiences. Mr. Narinder Singh Jassal, Principal Scientist, Indo-Swiss Training Centre CSIR-CSIO, Coordinator DSIR- TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Centre (DSIR-TOCIC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, one amongst them disseminated on the topic Importance of Innovation Culture in India for Overall Growth & Development of Nation. He gave a detailed overview about the PRISM Scheme that how incubators can apply for that, what is the eligibility criteria and the advantages of the scheme. Speaker’s insightful session inspired innovators to identify, ideate, and develop solutions with the support from TOCIC that would make a significant role in society. Ideas were discussed in length by Expert, which necessarily ignited young minds to novel ideas leading to commercialization. His speech was followed by question answer session in which students get their doubts solved. In continuum, Dr. Neha Sharma enlightened on the topic Ideation to Commercialisation: A Roadmap to Tech-Enabled Start-ups. Dr. Neha began her speech with innovative ideas which are demanded in market, strategies to convert ideas into business. In addition, she shared her views on importance of entrepreneurship with ample illustrations and discussion. She also covered the area and field of startup business.

The Pitch Deck session was started at 02:00 pm in which a total number of 16 students and faculty members were present in the session. There were 07 startup ideation of students/faculty for the projection. Startup Aspirants presented their ideas to Mr. Jassal. All the Startups ideation was shortlisted for funding support with a maximum time frame of 6 months. Event was concluded by an official vote of thanks by Ms. Nitika Arora.
