M.M. Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in collaboration with M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, organized a hands-on workshop on”Visceral Manipulation for treatment of Musculoskeletal pain”on 19th February 2022. The aim of the workshop was to analyse bio-mechanics of visceral organsand understand viscera-somatic relationship & its influence on spinal & extremity pain. The workshop was held at Clinical Skill and SimulationCentre, MMIMSR 3rd Floor, MM(DU).

Dr. Manu Goyal (PT) addressed all the participants and introduced them to the guest. He shared his thoughts on the topic ‘Visceral Manipulation’ and started the workshop.The workshop started with a brief outline on visceral manipulation and the relations of common musculoskeletal pain with the visceral organs of human body by the resource person.After that, practical and hands on skills demonstration was performed by resource person on abdominal viscera and participants practiced the techniques under his supervision. At the end,vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Asir John Samuel, Professor, MMIPR. The participants were facilitated with certification of participation by the resource person Dr G.K. Balaji. All the participants attended the workshop with great enthusiasm.The workshop was very effective and informative.MMIPR is looking forward to organize more such events in future.
