Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation (MMIPR) organized “World Arthritis Day on 12th October 2019 in seminar hall of MMIPR. Dr. Debdutta Dass, H.O.D Oral Maxillofacial surgery and Dr. Monika Gupta, Professor, Oral Maxillofacial surgery, MM(DU), Mullana enlightened the student and faculty members about the involvement of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) and its importance in early diagnosis to improve the quality of life among the patients with arthritis. Various informative talks by the faculty of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation including Prof. Aksh Chahal (Ph.D.) on “Does bad Ergonomics lead to Arthritis?” and Dr. Asir John Samuel on “Importance of Outcome measures in patients with Knee Osteoarthritis” and in addition, a seminar by student of BPT (4th yr) on “Still’s Disease” were held to emphasize and raise awareness among the students. Posters prepared by the students were displayed and demonstrated to mark the event. Patient awareness program was held to highlight the prognosis and to ease activities of daily living for the patients with arthritis.
