Each year, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. By taking part in these activities, we’re making our world a happier, healthier place to live. The Student Welfare Council of the Institute celebrated the day on 22.04.2022. 02 events organized on this occasion in which 35 students participated. In Pot Decoration, participants make beautiful and attractive pots which depict some message about Earth. In Wonder Out of Waste, participants learnt the art of reducing, reusing and recycling. On this occasion, Dr. Jyoti Sarin, Director, M.M College of Nursing and Dr. Neha Sharma, Professor, Dept. of Biotechnology, MMEC praised the efforts of all the students and asked them to thank the Mother Earth. The Students and Staff took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet, followed by Tree Plantation Drive in which 20 saplings planted. The events rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.
