M.M College of Nursing (Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing) Department organized workshop on “Evidence Based Midwifery Practice” with theme “Midwives: Defenders of Women’s Right’ on 4th May 2019. The Chief Guest of the workshop was Dr. Usha Ukande, President Nursing Research Society. She deliberated on EBMP, natural birthing and its needin the current scenario. She also shared her experience of the mother who wanted to give a natural birth to her second child after the cesarean section and wanted direct skin to skin contact after her delivery. Total 69 participants attended this workshop.
