Sports have become ingrained in our culture and have evolved into a way of life for a fit and healthyIndia. It teaches us to be disciplined and consistent in our efforts in order to achieve our objectives. It keeps us in good physical and mental shape.
On the 4th and 5th of March, the Student Welfare Council of Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (MMIPR) hosted an Annual Sports Meet – “FIT PRO-2k22” at the Sports Complex and Ground (DU). Dr. Manu Goyal (PT), Principal MMIPR, MM(DU), Sh. Ashok Arora, Dean-MM Engineering College, and Mrs. Sunita Dosanjh, Principal, MM International School, delivered the inauguration speech.
On both days, the 4th and 5th of March,2022, the event was held from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. The event began with students being assigned to their individual teams, which were represented by various colours and team flags such as Red, White, Blue, and Black, with team names such as Gladiators, Falcons, Highlanders, and Spartans. The sports meet began with a march past by the college’s four teams. The track and field events of the 100 metre dash, three-leg dash, 800 metre dash, and spoon dash begin the competition. Following that, games like volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, roller skating, and tug of war were held.
On March 5, 2022, a cricket match was held as a friendly event for MMIPR staff and students.
Following the completion of all of the competitions, a victory ceremony was held, during which our honourable principal sir and faculty members gave medals to the champions of the various events.
Dr. Joydip Saha (PT),event organiser, gave a vote of gratitude to the entire faculty, student council members, and students for their contributions to the event’s success.
