International Women’s Day – Prevention of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is the third most common cancer in women worldwide.  Cervical cancer is a disease that develops quite slowly and begins with a precancerous condition known as  dysplasia. Dysplasia is easily detected in a routine Pap smear and is completely treatable. Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor deriving from cells of the cervix.

Medical Surgical Nursing department of M.M. Institute of Nursing, students of B.Sc Nursing 2nd year organizing aGroup Project for the awareness of women on topic :“Prevention of cervical cancer” on the occasion of  International Women’s Day, has marked a day of celebration and advocacy for women’s rights and equality around the world.

In the same context Department of Law, Maharishi Markandeshwer (Deemed to be University) Mullana is going to conduct a powerful Webinar on the theme for International Women’s Day 2021  “Women in Leadership: Achieving  an  Equal future in a COVID-19 World” to explore how women in leadership support women globally in their organizations and communities. The webinar will also highlight to tackle the hurdles to continue to  stimulate women’s advancement.

Theme: Choose to Challenge IWD2021

Programme will start by introduction of cervical cancerand further proceeds by Role play and Health Education by chart explanation (10:30 am onwards).
