MMDU’s Alumni is now Associate VP, Royal Bank of Scotland

MM(DU) carries on with its success momentum and its alumni continues to shine worldwide. Meet an illustrious performer from MCA 2002 batch  – Rajiv Bhatia who is currently working as Associate VP, Royal Bank of Scotland. In this special feature, he shares all about his success journey –

“I succeeded in life on the basis of my education which built a strong foundation for me by balancing academics and personal grooming.”

That was what Rajiv Bhatia shared in the very beginning and gave the youth a message to pursue their higher education diligently. When asked about his criteria for choosing your program at MMICT&BM, he candidly shared that he was looking for a good institute those days where he could learn & grow. He had researched and found that the faculty of M. M Institute of Computer Technology & Business Management is very generous and helpful. Whenever a student would go to them asking for some questions or help, they would come forward willingly with advice, guidance and material.

He shared that being at MMICT&BM channelized his energies towards focused learnings.

“Besides academics, we had presentations and some kind of program every week so that way we always had something new to learn and gave us exposure. I have come to know that many more industry-academic workshops and sessions are being organized at MMICT&BM these days which further adds to the university’s academic quotient.”

Rajiv wholeheartedly appreciated the university infrastructure and the learning environment. He was happy that they got a chance to interact with the students from other states of India and that was important in gaining global exposure. He highlighted that the teachers made extra efforts to make the students from other culture comfortable. While talking about the job anxiety, Rajiv shared that everyone struggles initially but he accredited the faculty for being a huge support.

“They not only helped me on every step but gave their valuable guidance from time to time. I would like to advise the young ones to listen to their mentors and teachers at MM(DU) campus and work on their communication skills, interpersonal skills, and adaptability. These have been the universal attributes that organizations look for in graduates. Besides, whatever is the ongoing trend in the industry, that should be included in the curriculum. I think MMICT&BM follows a very comprehensive curriculum.”
