International Yoga day

There’s an old adage that goes, “Your body resides in the past, and your mind exists in the future, they come together in the present.” Yoga is an ancient practice of living in peace with oneself and one’s surroundings. People are suffering from mental and physical health imbalances as a result of the prolonged Covid-19 issue. In view of the foregoing, it is required that we include yoga into our everyday lives, especially with the current Covid-19 pandemic. It is imperative that we practice Yoga to manage stress and worry. In light of this, MM Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation arranged a one-day Yoga programme on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21st, 2021. It comprised a one-hour yoga session (online and offline), a yoga asana competition, and a Yogic diet preparation competition. Through Microsoft teams, students and faculties of MMIPR took part in the yoga program. Following the yoga program, there was a yoga asana competition and a yogic diet preparation competition, in which many students competed and made this event unforgettable. The event winners were:

Yoga Asana competition

  1. Sonali Joshi (MPT-2ndSem)
  2. Kalpana Chauhan (MPT-2ndSem)
  3. AnishaKhokhar (MPT-2ndSem)
